The Journey Behind My Work
Hi, my name is Jorge
For much of my life, I was searching.
Not for success, achievement or the next goal, but for something more fundamental: a way to understand myself, make sense of my experience, and feel more at home in my own life.
For years, I felt lost. I struggled with self-doubt, a lack of direction, and patterns in my relationships that I couldn't fully understand. Beneath many of those difficulties was a deeper question:
Why do we suffer, and is there another way to live?
The trainings, retreats and practices I have explored over the years were never about collecting knowledge. They were part of an ongoing search for understanding, healing and freedom.
What follows are some of the paths that have shaped the way I see life, myself, and the work I now offer to others.
Vipassana Meditation
My journey began with a simple but life-changing question:
What is actually happening inside me?
Through years of Vipassana practice, silent retreats and periods of service, I explored awareness not as a concept, but as a direct experience.
One of the deepest insights this practice offered me was that our experience is constantly changing. Thoughts, emotions, sensations and mental states arise and pass, often much faster than we realise.
By learning to observe this process with continuity and honesty, I gradually developed a different relationship with myself — one based less on reaction and more on awareness.
Rather than trying to control my experience, I began learning how to meet it.
This understanding continues to influence both my life and the way I accompany others today.
Zen Coaching
While meditation helped me understand my inner world, I was also looking for a bridge between awareness and everyday life.
Zen Coaching became that bridge.
One of the most transformative discoveries in my journey was learning to listen beyond the mind.
There is a wisdom within the body that the mind cannot always access.
Through Focusing and embodied inquiry, I learned to listen more carefully to emotions, sensations and the subtle intelligence that lives beneath our stories.
This transformed not only the way I relate to myself, but also the way I support others.
Family Constellations
Family Constellations introduced a perspective that profoundly changed the way I understand human relationships.
Many of the struggles we experience are not purely individual.
We are shaped by family systems, inherited dynamics and unconscious loyalties that often operate beyond our awareness.
This work helped me make sense of patterns I had struggled with in my own life and gave me a deeper understanding of relationships, partnership and the hidden forces that can influence the way we connect with others.
Yoga
Yoga brought me back to the body.
It reminded me that transformation is not only psychological or spiritual.
The body carries its own intelligence.
Through practice, I developed greater presence, discipline and respect for the connection between body, mind and emotional wellbeing.
Transpersonal Coaching
My current studies in Transpersonal Coaching continue to expand the way I understand human growth and transformation.
This work explores not only our wounds and limitations, but also our potential.
It asks a different question:
Who might we become when we are no longer defined by our fears, conditioning or past experiences?
That question remains at the heart of my work.
What I Believe
I don't believe that people are broken.
I believe that many of us become disconnected from parts of ourselves through fear, pain, conditioning and life experience.
The work I offer is not about fixing you.
It is about creating a space where awareness can grow, old patterns can be understood, and a more authentic relationship with yourself can emerge.
Everything I share comes from a simple place:
I continue to walk this path myself.
And it is a privilege to walk alongside others as they explore their own.
No path is walked alone
I am deeply grateful to the teachers, friends, communities and fellow travellers who have shaped my journey over the years.
Many of the insights that transformed my life were first shared by others, often through their generosity, presence and example.
This work is, in many ways, a continuation of what I have received from them. For that, I remain profoundly grateful.
